Ohios emerald ash borer quarantine was expanded today by the Ohio Department of Agriculture to include Clark County. Confirmation was received from USDA officials after an Ohio State University Extension employee discovered several beetles in flight during a survey conducted on a residential property located near the intersection of Innisfallen Avenue and Montgomery Avenue in Springfield. The survey was conducted when an ash tree showing symptoms was reported to the Extension Office. This is Clark Countys first known emerald ash borer infestation.
